A Night Of JDB2J Bands & JDB2J JAMS!

Our very own JDB2J Member Devon Lucas is going to be hosting another event at the Taste Of Texas in Covina, on February 22, 2014 and you have been invited!

We begin the night with Mark Maddox and the JDB2J Member's "Jammin' on Jimi (Hendrix, that is), then bring your instruments, 'cause you'll be asked to join in the fun with your own jam bands. Please have a good idea of what songs you want to do, and enjoy a great FOH mixer and backline (contact Mark for a possible rehearsal one night before the event).

Next is a set by HEAVY LED, a tribute to Led Zeppelin, then a set by our own Rusty Dogs Band (Neil Young Tribute)

After those two shows, we'll get some jammers back up for a couple of tunes, then Heavy Led closes the night

Should be fun for all!

Jammin' on Jimi (Jimi Hendrix Tribute) 8pm

Open JDB2J (Note that there is some flex time from 8 to 10 re: Hendrix and Jammers) 9pm

Heavy Led (Led Zeppelin Tribute) 10pm and last set of the night

The Rusty Dogs Band (Neil Young Tribute) 11pm - 11:55pm

The Taste Of Texas has the best Tex-Mex food around so come early, grab a bite to eat and show your support!

Thanks to everybody that showed up early to set up. Pat Bacich (FOH) mixer and promoter told me he was happy with the turn-out, so I'll book another Saturday night show there soon. Next up is John T with a show there on the the last Friday of March - I now toss the 100 pound bag of making everyone happy on your shoulders, buddy.
And next time guys, bring more guitar amps (lol)

So, how much gear can you cram onto a stage? Guess we found out... Shredder, 3 amps? Really?... Big sound though. And at the top of the mountain perched Dale's awesome drum rig, graciously volunteered for the evening. Speaking of which, Cindy returned from a years hiatus and slammed some Hendrix with her friends. Welcome home Cin. My favorite bass player Eileen was in the house! Always a pleasure to see. Miss playing with you. Devon smoothed out a lot of curves and bridged muncho gaps in the Hendrix segment. That whole Jimi thing was a great idea. Sound and lighting were superlative and couldn't have been better unless we were headlining and received full power. But that's a future goal. And how about that super bitchin' JDB2J banner? Huh? The ONLY thing better was Heavy Led's sonics wand. I need one of those....

I'll come by with my wife and friends for dinner and to check out the music, don't plan on playing though. So do I click the rsvp, or is that only for those that plan on playing in the jams?

to answer your question Skeeter this is a JDB2J event showcasing some of our members..... We are working with Devon to devote a time slot devoted to Jammers who may want to get in stage and do a couple tunes,
