What we’re about

Welcome To JDB2J !!!!
PLEASE!  Read & understand what this Meet up group is all about. We do take jamming Very Seriously. We will not tolerate harassment, negativity, rudeness, prejudice & shaming of others because of their ability to or not to perform music. We are here to jam & all talent, from beginner to seasoned pros are all acceptable. If a member joins and does not follow the guidelines mentioned here or proves to be inactive and does not wish to participate in events at least twice a year nor pay the required dues is subject for removal from the group. This site is about active musicians and is not here for the purpose of trolling, politics or a dating service. We need active members to keep the jam alive by jamming. We hope you understand. Most of our jams are currently being held in Azusa in the San Gabriel Valley, but other sites are trying to be arranged.
This website is dedicated to put a variety of musicians together for the purpose of jamming! Whether you’re new to playing a musical instrument, singing, jamming or a seasoned pro, this meet up group is the place for you! Singing, playing, writing our own songs or just plain out listening is our major goal. Our members play a variety of different music. Blues, Rock, Jazz, Country, R&B or a mixture of it all! Our members also have an opportunity to get together and perform in a professional studios, home jams, in the park events, Charity Event’s, BBQ’s and Party’s.
We need more members like you to join our meet up group if jamming is your main goal. So, take a moment to click the 'Join Us' link and sign up! The cost is ONLY $20 a year. We are looking for new members who enjoy playing music, and those that are interested in learning to play, sing or jam. We are currently setting up co-organizers that will help and assist members for setting up jams in the So. Cal. area to include the IE, High Desert, OC, LBC area, SGV, SFV, Santa Clarita and the LA area.
Once you join our Meetup group, you have the option of hosting an event...all you need to do is post the details and members that are interested can attend. Guest are usually always welcome at no extra cost. We hope that after a couple events, They will also decide to become members.
If this is what you’re looking for, then this is the Meet up is for you! The meet up site does charge us over $200 a year to have access to use and communicate through their site but it does help simplify organizing and creating events. As I mentioned earlier. You can become a member for a small yearly membership fee of $20.00. On some occasions you may be required to pay the cost of only $5.00-$10.00 per event to help maintain the cost and survival of the group & the event. Once you become a member, You will have 3 months to pay your membership dues if you choose to continue the journey with us. Many times during the year, members do host events and jams for your enjoyment. It is always highly appreciated if you donate a little cash or some pot luck items to help out the host with the cost of the event as the host is usually very gracious by supplying the event venue, gear and other necessities for the event or jam to become a success. ( This is not always required, but always appreciated.) You may appear as a guest 2 times. If you choose to continue and benefit from our many jams, events and/or opportunities, you must then request to become a member and pay your required dues. These fees are collected to help differ the cost of covering group activities such as the Meet-Up site cost, replacement and repair costs of gear, event costs such as studios and/or jam sites, refreshments at most jam locations. If any funds or savings are accumulated at the end of the year, those funds will be put towards a major end of the year event / jam which will include but is not limited to a back line, drinks, refreshments, food and the possibility of some gifts and/or door prizes. Jump on Board. Let's jam !!! Please!! Once you become a member & open the page, make sure you scroll down the whole page for complete info on upcoming & past events, news, changes & discussions.
