Have a blast! Wish I could participate...

I saw the utube video
and noticed that you wear gloves
while patting the chicken
- the one who hopped up into your lap.

Is wearing gloves something that you would recommend
when handling chickens?

(I have bees and rescue stray street cats
and have the odd raccoon & opossum visit on occasion
by climbing in through the cat door
to chow down on the Science Diet cat food in the kitchen)

I have been thinking of getting a chicken tractor
to deal with the greenery in the back yard.

Once again
are gloves a good for dealing with chickens
like they are for dealing with bees?
