put her in a rabbit cage or the like and keep her with the flock so they get used to her but cant attack her. Move her inside and outside with them, if you have room. If not, then try to rehome her.
If you can get her up to southern CT (stamford) I can take her. I have 5 acres and 3 large coops; she is bound to find someplace to be...even if its with the bantams;-)

Hey,

This is advice from my mother-in-law is from Iowa and spent most of her life raising chickens. She says it sounds like an outbreak of chicken cannibalism which can happen even in the best run coops.

Hope that helps!

Eww that's rough.

Similar thing happened when I had one duck! The chickens would bully her. All I could think of doing was slapping the chickens butt wen they did it!! Hoping they would see me as the alpha who didn't accept that behaviour. It eventually eased off, not sure if it was because of what I was doing or they just got used to her!

Good Luck, make sure she can eat and drink, use seperate dishes.

Fada.

Help,

We have been dealing with a chicken who has been outcast by all the other chickens.  They all are agressive toward her, but there is one that is particulary aggressive and she is the only one laying.  They aren't letting her even eat and peck at her very aggressively.  She has been outside the coop free ranging in our yard, but it is really cold and she is getting into other people's yards. We gave her to our neighbors who have 2 chickens, buy they also were aggressive.  The 5 chickens have been together since day-old chicks and are all the same breed.  The only thing that I can think of is that the outcast one didn't seem to molt and maybe they think that she should have.  It happened when they were molting and I hoped that once they stopped molting they would be nice again.  But that hasn't happened yet.  Any advice and/or anyone think they can take her?

Thanks,
Alexandra
