Staten Island, NY
Greetings from snowy white Staten Island!
Having moved I am beginning a new flock. In the process, I now have 2 bators full of straight run peeps hatching out at the end of January.
For this hatch I have chosen all large brown egg layers great for our weather conditions here in NY..... and a few bantam Cochin's...silkies....and possible sizzles.
If anyone is interested in straight run week old chicks....(absolutely no sexing will be available).......please drop me a line to get on my list.
Easy traveling from Saint George Ferry terminal at the S. I. Ferry right to my block in Tottenville.
I am unsure how many of each breed will actually hatch but the eggs I have set are:
Barnvelders....Welsummers....Blue Laced Red Wyndottes.......Black/blue and splash Marans....Rhode Island Reds.....Light Brahma.....bantam cochins and silkies......Speckled Sussex.......possibly a few Turkens using BCM over turkens to produce dark colored birds laying very dark brown eggs........and last but not least a few Easter eggers.
No hatchery chickens, all from breeders along the east coast I had eggs shipped from.
