Men's Hike to Weaver's Needle

Come join us for a hike to Weaver's Needle!  This hike is a very scenic hike and a great workout. Take US60 to Peralta Road (just past mile post 204); Peralta road is about 8.3 miles from Apache Junction. Make a left onto Peralta Rd (North; FSR 77) and drive about 7.2 miles to the parking lot at road's end (at 5.5 mile fork, bear left keeping on FSR 77). Because of the popularity of this trail, there is overflow parking about 1/8 mile from the main parking lot (trailhead). The trail starts at the north end of the main parking lot.

This is about a 12+ mile hike.  Please feel free to pack snacks or food that can be eaten when we reach the Needle.

Don't forget to bring water!

We're going to meet at the In&Out parking lot at 6:15 for anyone who wants to meet up before heading to the trailhead, and leaving for the trailhead at 6:30 am . There may be a possiblity to consolidate cars / carpool, but no guarentees. There also isn't a convienence store there so anyone wanting last minute water will need to have gotten that before meeting.

Anyone just wanting to meet at the trailhead we should be there about 7:15 and head out about 7:30. Sunrise is about 7:30 so it'll be cool to start and we'll be headed up the canyon, in shade, but the hike creates heat pretty quickly!

bring lots of water, see you there. I'll be at both places and drive a white chevy cruze.

We'll have a place and time to meet that's closer to town (probably the In & Out on Superstition Springs & US60 so that getting to the trailhead isn't half the adventure. Also we'll head up to the freemont saddle, and hang out there for a few, anyone who wants to hang out there, and then return is more than welcome, that way you at least get to see the needle and then should be able to be back to your car by noonish. Anyone who wants to continue can.

    Should be a fun time.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
