Fireworks in Webster Groves

I've reserved us a spot. If you can't make the meetup point and time at the Surgery Center you still should be able to find us.

The fair is held on the south side of the highway. Really just follow the crowds. There is a Jr High School and we are behind the building to the right. Pass all the parked cars and johnny on the spots. You'll see an orange construction fence and a metal back stop (used for batting practice or something). We are behind the back stop.

We have a roped off area held by four red reflector posts and yellow ribbons hanging all around the rope. When you get there if no one is there just hang out. We might be down at the fair getting food, playing games, etc. There are also a few signs hanging from the rope saying: Reserved JAG Meetup. The ropes will be coming down right before the fireworks as to not disturb any one.

The ground isn't bad right now at all where we are sitting as far as it being wet. It also looks like the rain is done for the area with only a 5-10% chance of more rain. Yeah!! I do have some plastic sheeting though we can use so no need to bring your own.

Sure, the big fireworks are downtown but so are the crowds and traffic.

Let's head on out to Webster Groves for their amazing firework display. They're actually really good and you're close enough to can feel them.

We're going to meet up down the road (location to be updated soon). Be sure to allow lots of extra time to find parking. It's not as crazy as downtown but they do pull in quite a crowd. From there it'll be about a blocks walk to where we are going to set up. Be sure to bring a blanket and snacks or a cooler if you'd like. There is a fair going on and you can buy stuff there or ride the rides but they usually have looonng lines.

Fireworks should start around 9 pmish I think.

Basically it's on the corner of S. Elm and Big Bend. If you go past the BP Gas Station you've gone too far. If you're coming from Hwy 44 West you make a right on Elm (left from 44 East) and it's almost immediately on your right. More than likely all the parking will be taken up in this parking lot so you'll have to find parking elsewhere and walk to the meetup site. From there we'll walk down to the fair.
