This is a group for parents of children who have been diagnosed with a form of Juvenile Arthritis or other rheumatic disease. We know that statistically, there are about 2800 kids in San Antonio who have JA. We want to have a place for parents to support each other. We can gather socially and, if so desired, seek out a more formal support group setting that would provide education and psychological support for the caretakers. There is already a small group of families who have connected through working with the Arthritis Foundation in San Antonio. We would like to extend our network. It is so helpful to be able to get together with others who have similar experiences and issues. The kids love to play and support each other, too.
