In what is turning into one of the premier Atheist / Freethinker / Humanist events in the midwest, ReasonFest is a weekend of lectures, roundtables, debates, and of course plenty of socializing. It's held in Lawrence in the springtime, with this being the festival's third year. The festival is organized by KU's SOMA organization, the Society of Open-Minded Atheists and Agnostics. You can learn more about SOMA at their website here.
The lineup of speakers this year is very impressive. I've seen many of these people before and I can promise there will be a lot of informative and often entertaining discussions. Many of the speakers will chat with you in between sessions and are often selling books and other items.
If you're interested in attending, you must also register at the ReasonFest Website (link).
If you have the means, please donate a few dollars too, as this is a free event (link).
The event is being held on the KU Campus at Woodruff Auditorium. A Map to the event can be found here: (link) Please refer to the map for information about parking.
