In what is turning into one of the premier Atheist / Freethinker / Humanist events in the midwest, ReasonFest is a weekend of lectures, roundtables, debates, and of course plenty of socializing. It's held in Lawrence in the springtime, with this being the festival's third year. The festival is organized by KU's SOMA organization, the Society of Open-Minded Atheists and Agnostics. You can learn more about SOMA at their website here.
The "main event" doesn't start until Saturday morning, April 20, but since many of the speakers and other out of town folks will be in early, Friday will be a day of socializing, dinner, and drinks starting with dinner.
Dinner is tentatively scheduled for a to-be-determined location somewhere in Lawrence, where we will have a large reservation somewhere. As soon as I know more, I'll update the event page here. Meanwhile, please do RSVP if you think you're interested so we can keep an accurate count.
More information is available at the Event page on kusoma.org. Watch this space for more details soon!
