Fwd: Evolution in Science Education Documentary - Book Now

From: Adam
Sent on: Tuesday, October 4, 2011 8:55 AM
Ive talked about this documentary (www.nodinos.com) a few times and was trying (before I basically ran out of steam) to get a showing put together in town.  (I will get a copy of it for myself eventually any which way)

But today, I received this email, asking if I might be able to work with reason fest.  I believe someone has mentioned being somewhat involved with it, but I dont remember who.  Does anyone have contact with the organizers or is involved themselves?

Ive not been to it before, but I do believe that there are a couple of people around here who are involed with it.  I am in Kansas City, so not too far from it.

Reason Fest might be a better venue, things just kind of ran out of steam in trying to organize a viewing for the meetup groups I am involved with.

Let me ping my mailing lists and see what I can come up with contact wise.

Angus,

Would you be interested in working with this Reason Fest?  Where are you based?  Maybe some resources can be poled to bring Steve Newton- Genie is booked for mucho dinero in Kentucky that weekend and Greta will Skype from Barcelona.

We would love to host someone from NCSE, you know them best, what role
do you think they could play that would bring the most value to
attendees?

In addition to Steve Newton, Dr. Frank J. Sonleitner was also
mentioned as a possibility, since he's not far away down in Oklahoma.
I'm not personally familiar with either.

I mini-tour would be great, although this will definitely be the
biggest event in the region, so our efforts might be better used to
get people to the showing in Lawrence. Just a thought, although a
second showing in Kansas City or Wichita would be a great idea as well
to get slightly less motivated people to come see it closer to home.
