Hey Everybody,
As of this hour, the forecast is for clear skies and great viewing on Friday night, up till at least several hours past midnight.  Less windy and warmer, too.  Watch your emails and I'll send out one last one by 4:00 tomorrow afternoon if the weather changes and we need to go to our reserved backup date, Sunday night.
35 people signed up so far for this Friday's
If you're coming, please email me ([address removed]) if you haven't yet to tell me what food item you can add to the list below for our potluck supper.
Looking forward to:
- Views thru the observatory's 30-inch telescope, and other scopes,
- 30-minute PowerPoint presentation on the stars,
- Short talks by John Millam, David Young, Iggy, and
- Deep, philosophical table talk about our trifling existence in an immeasurable universe during our potluck supper

- $5 fee for the observatory
- Warm clothes (but you can be in the heated facilities as much as you want, and we'll have reg & decaf coffee)
- Any astro items you might have: star map, binoculars, telescope, red flashlight
- A potluck food item

Email me ([address removed]) so we can plan on what food item you're bringing (see the list to be filled in below).
And RSVP if you haven't yet (and get all the details) at:
See ya Friday at 6:45 p.m. at the Powell Observatory in Louisburg! (Directions at website above).
