TONIGHT, FRIDAY, DEC. 2 AT PERKINS:

LAZY READERS & PROVOCATIVE DISCUSSION

RSVP now and get the details at  http://www.meetup.com/ProvocateursAndPeacemakers
(It helps us know how to set up and give the waitressing staff a heads-up.)

This Friday night comes with a guarantee:  You're going to learn new stuff that will make you a stunning conversationalist at your next party, or your money back.

If you want to be with friends Friday night discussing the latest everybody's learning about philosophy, politics, science, psychology, religion, history, and you want to learn something new:
LAZY READERS
For the nosy person who doesn’t have time to read it all but wants to know it all.
Bring whatever you've been reading, and come to discuss that and what everyone else is reading. Subjects can include just about anything from the above list: fiction or non-fiction.  Books or articles.
Jesse says she can't wait to share what she's been reading.  Neither can we.
We give anyone who wants 3-5 minutes to explain what they've been reading, and another 3-5 minutes for everyone to ask questions and discuss.  We always learn a ton.  Come make new friends and learn something new about what they’ve been reading. It's the ideal information exchange.
Plus:  PROVOCATIVE TOPIC  to be chosen Friday night for an extra fun discussion.
Which is your favorite topic for our free-discussion Friday night?  So far #3 is winning ..

  1. Are we headed for a show-down with Iran?
  2. What have we learned from our involvement in Iraq & Afghanistan?
  3. What are the best routes to a happy life?  (Our reactions to NY Times editorialist’s research from “Life Reports”)
  4. What are the best ideas for fixing the U.S. economy?
  5. Which Republican would you like to see run against Obama?

Have another discussion idea?

Come at 6:45 p.m. to get a good seat, to get to know folks, and to enjoy some coffee/dessert/dinner.

Green Mill or Callahan's afterward for more conversation.
