Location: Jacob L. Loose Park Pavilion, 5200 Pennsylvania Ave., Kansas City, MO
Join the Kansas City Atheist Coalition for a cookout at Loose Park and art supply and book drive for Children’s Mercy Hospital. KCAC will provide hot dogs, buns, condiments, lemonade and water. We ask that you please bring an art supply or children’s book*, your favorite cookout side dish, and fun park game, such as a baseball and mitt, frisbee or badminton. This is a family-friendly event -- children are welcome! Also,
Donations for Children’s Mercy Hospital:
Art Supplies - Individual pre-assembled Craft Kits, Notepads, Journals, Pens, Markers (Crayola Washable Markers, Fabric Markers, Colored Sharpies, Paint Pens), Large and/or small size plain white construction paper, Magna-Doodles, Crayons, Colored Pencils, and Stickers.
Books - New Sound books, Look and Find books, I Spy books, chapter books for teenagers. On a personal note, Amanda Brown, KCAC's philanthropy director, has noticed that Children's Mercy Hospital is in particular need of secular holiday books and science themed books for children.

Do you enjoy rational discussion, logic, and learning? What about hanging out with like-minded people who also enjoy these things?
Questioning what we are told is an incredible attribute that humans have and we should exercise it by encouraging critical thought!
Anyone is welcome to join, but this group is intended for those who want to question dogma and learn from others, while having fun with people who do the same.
Come and join us for fun nights in the midtown area to see live music, have a beer, a delicious nibble, or pass out fliers next to evangelists in Westport that have a message of peace rather than threats of Hell and fear of pleasure! Let's enjoy the one life we have and let others do the same! :)
