If you want to be with friends Friday night discussing the latest everybody's learning about philosophy, politics, science, psychology, religion, history - and you want to learn something new:
For the nosy person who doesn’t have time to read it all but wants to know it all.
Bring whatever you've been reading, and come to discuss that and what everyone else is reading. Subjects can include just about anything from the above list: fiction or non-fiction. Books or articles. Come to talk or come to listen. No pressure, just friendly fun.
We 'll give anyone who wants 3-5 minutes to explain what they've been reading, and another 3-5 minutes for everyone to ask questions and discuss. We always learn a ton. Come make new friends and learn something new about what they’ve been reading. It's the ultimate information exchange.
DISCUSSION ABOUT NEW ATHEIST VS. CHRISTIAN VIEWS
PRESENTATION ON HINDUISM, & DISCUSSION
We'll read or show a clip from Christopher Hitchens' cumulative case, then we'll hear a Christian's cumulative case, and discuss.
We'll have a representative of the Advaita (non-dual) perspective explaining the Bhagavad Gita to us, followed by discussion.
