What do you most want to learn about Ruby/Rails?

I'd like to learn how to test more than just the standard crud components of my applications. I'm also interested in going deeper into security. I know that it doesn't end at has_secure_password but I not sure what else I should be looking at.

Do have a project you need help with? If so, where's the repo?

Which online resources have helped you the most?

Ruby docs and Stack Overflow for Ruby questions. Rails docs and Stack Overflow for Active Record questions. Chris Coyier's for styling help. No definitive place for JS help but I usually find what I need via Google.

What's the one tip you'd give to Ruby newbies?

Sinatra. It forced me to learn what Rails does in the background.

Where's your favorite place to get a coffee/drink in KC? i.e. Where would you like to have a Meetup?

Good question. I've been scoping out places to start a code and coffee chapter but everywhere seems to be too small or too busy. I've been to several evening functions at the Roasterie's factory location. I need to stop in during the day at various times before I can recommend it but the layout seems like it might be favorable.

Ruby and C# dev. Always looking to expand my knowledge.
