I would like to learn more about the ViewModel, functional programming in Ruby, and interfacing Ruby with non-relational databases such as MongoDB.
Not yet, but I will soon (still on the experimentation and research phase with my personal projects).
the RailsAPI, jQuery API, the Rails Tutorial by Michael Hartl, the Ruby online documentation, Project Euler.
Learn the basic libraries, starting with Array, Enumerator, Hash, and String. Do project Euler problems to practice using these libraries, and solve each problem as generically as possible and in several different ways. (try first an imperative/OO approach, then try to implement a functional approach, then try to do so without introducing mutable state, etc.). This is a great way to see what a language excels at and what it's weaknesses are.
Tea Drops, Westport Coffee House, Opera House Food Emp.
I am currently programming a RoR app in the industry. I started coding in embedded systems and desktop programming.
