This meetup is a special field trip: we get to go visit KCK/WyCo's GIS department, led by Brigade member & WyCo/KCK's GIS Director Christian Cooley.

Non-alcoholic refreshments will be provided during the meetup, and we'll be heading to a local KCK bar afterwards for socializing!

Please bring a photo ID to this meetup, as the GIS department is housed in a secure facility. Also, please be sure to thank the security officers at the door, they've agreed to stay late that night just for us!

Meeting will be in the GSS (GeoSpatial Services) offices in Suite 200 of the Wyandotte County Courthouse, 710 N 7th St, Kansas City, KS 66101.

Parking:
Since this is an afterhours meting there should be no problem parking in metered spots that are free starting at 5pm. I recommend parking on Ann Ave or Barnet Ave between 7th St and 8th St.

Building Entrance and Security:
The building entrance is through the corridor connecting the courthouse and jail. This is located mid-block between 7th St and 8th St on Ann Ave or Barnet Ave. (See the attached image).  This is a government building, even though it is after hours we will have security. You will most likely be required to go through metal detectors.  Identify yourself as being with the Code for America Brigade.  I can be reached on my cellphone at[masked] in the event of a problem.

If you haven't done so already, please be sure and sign up at the national Brigade site: brigade.codeforamerica.org
