MY HUBBY, BILLY IS A MEMBER OF KUTUMBA, WHICH IS A DRUMMING GROUP. HE STARTED LEARNING HOW TO DRUM ABOUT A YEAR AGO, AND IS GETTING SOMEWHAT GOOD.
I HAVE BEEN WITH HIM TO A COUPLE OF DRUMMING EVENTS (A.K.A. DRUM CIRCLES, LESSONS, ETC.), AND THEY HAVE REALLY BEEN A HOOT! YOU DON'T HAVE TO KNOW A THING ABOUT DRUMMING, AND THESE DRUM TEACHERS SUDDENLY MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE A PRO. TRUST ME, BILLY HAD NO RHYTHYM! (HE ADMITS!)
SO, COME JOIN US EVERY WEDNESDAY AT CATHY'S HOUSE IN OPKS. FOR A COUPLE HOURS OF LAUGHING, DRUMMING & LEARNING!
FOLLOWING IS INFO FROM HER MEETUP SITE. >>>>>>>>> CHECK IT OUT:
We cover techniques and basic Djembe rhythm parts, and have added Dunun rhythms to our curriculum. Relaxed, inclusive environment. You don't have to know ANYTHING to attend.
If there are new students, we will go over the basics at the beginning of the class - that is how to hit the drum for bass, tone and slap, intonation, etc.
We will start working on rhythms at 7:00, and finish around 9:00. It's fun! Just ask anyone who's attended in the past.

MAKE SURE TO RSVP, SO I CAN LET HER KNOW TO HAVE ENOUGH DRUMS AVAILABLE. ;) BUT PLEASE ONLY RSVP THROUGH THIS SITE SO WE DON'T DOUBLE COUNT YOU.***
HECK, WHO KNOWS, WE MIGHT EVEN GO TO ONE OF THE
LOCAL BARS AND/OR VENUES
FOR EATS AND/OR DRINKS AFTERWARD!
