(The second of a collaborative sex-positive discussion groups with the Polyamorous Families of Kansas City and the Northland Freethinkers.)
We all have various kinks, fetishes, turn-ons, and sexual personas that lay just a bit off the “beaten path” of mainstream sexuality. Sometimes, these even aren’t kinks - they’re just differences with our partners. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with these sexual attributes, and, yet, we withhold from talking about or trying them with our partners because of a wide spectrum of fears and anxieties around being truly open with our partners.
Why is this? How can we build a bridge for communication that allows us to safely talk to our partners about new things we want to try? How can we rid ourselves of the barriers that block ourselves from listening to our partners’ wants and desires?
Join us as we work with Dr. Darrel Ray, author of “Sex and God”, as he leads us through a workshop in which we learn how to open up with our partners and find a way to say what our minds think and our gonads want.
