Meeting scheduled for Wednesday, September 17, 2014 from about 5:30pm – 8:30pm (PST) at Bakersfield College (BC), 1801 Panorama Drive, Bakersfield, CA 93305 Math & Science Building, Room MS 3/4


5:30pm – 6:30pm: Registration, Food & Beverages, Networking, and Welcoming by organizer (feel free to arrive any time)

6:30pm – 7:00pm: Presentation by Mike Simms and his team of SolidCAM, about how to use SOLIDWORKS with your day to day CNC Machining including SOLIDWORKS tips and trick you may not know..

    o This is not a sales presentation but a learning experience with SOLIDWORKS and CNC Machining.

    o If you are interested in learning some CAM (Computer Aided Machine software) software techniques for an existing, new, or future job and want to experience SolidCAM, than you don’t want to miss this.

    o SolidCAM , the Leaders in Integrated CAM (Computer Aided Machine software) for all CNC applications and is seamlessly integrated in SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor. 

    o Everyone in attendance will also receive a copy of SolidCAM Xpress software ($995.00 value) at no charge.

7:00pm – 8:00pm: Presentation by Bruce Shawler of GoEngineer on SOLIDWORKS Routing (formally SolidWorks Piping)

    o SOLIDWORKS Routing focusing on Steal Piping as maybe used in the oil industry (available with SOLIDWORKS Premium or purchased separately)

    o Do you create piping designs at work and use SOLIDWORKS and didn’t know SOLIDWORKS had piping capabilities?

    o Don’t miss this presentation to help you get more proficient in SOLIDWORKS Routing and you may learn new piping tricks.

8:00pm – 8:30pm: Questions, raffle, networking, and open discussion

    It's time once more. The Kern County SOLIDWORKS User Group is having it's 5th meeting this Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Bakersfield Collage.

    I am ordering the food on Monday afternoon. Please verify you have RSVP'ed or updated your reservation (RSVP on Meetup.com) and indicate if you are bringing a spouse, friend, or coworker by selecting the number with your RSVP. If you can not make it, please change your RSVP to NO.

    If someone you know is coming but have not RSVP'ed with you or do not want to Join MeetUp.com, please have them email me at [masked] so the correct food amount is ordered.

    Meeting #5 will be providing select Burritos (Chicken, Steak, & Carnitas) by Chipotle and select beverages by Coke, Sprite, diet Coke, and water while supplies last of the stated food and beverages. First come, first served while supplies last. (Pizza or sandwiches will be substituted if issues arise with Chipotle).
