I'm interested in learning any and all UX/UI related concepts that will better help me to design a great client experience. The areas that will be of most benefit to me, however, are those that I can apply as part of my role as a software architect, as I will not be working in a UIX role.
In my role as a software engineer/architect on a team with a front-end solution, I have been involved in the design and creation of UI that is used in outpatient physician offices (as part of a registration and scheduling work flow). Prior to that, I also completed a Human-Computer Interaction course as part of my Masters in Applied Computer Science, and have always had an interest in creating UIs that are intuitive and frustration free.
I'm a software architect at Cerner working on a team that is building a Java based solution using SWT/JFace (with a bit of web-based UI sprinkled here and there, as well). I work in a technical role, but have a lot of input over the design of our solution's workflows and UI.
I am a husband, father, software architect, death metal bassist, video gaming hobbyist, and Netflix addict.
