My experience with UX and UI is in designing UI and UX from a logical perspective and thinking like a user. I would like to more formally learn about these areas and mobile so that my designs are based on stated approaches instead of "by the seat of my pants"!
Only informally and through years of experience in designing user interfaces and experiences before UI and UX became areas of study and standardization.
I have 20+ years of experience in the Information Technology field and love it because I get to learn something new nearly every day. My experience ranges from being a systems engineer who maintained the operating system and communications system for a mainframe to introducing information architectures to an organization which, as newly merged company, had a different computing architecture in each of their 10-15 locations in North America and Europe. I have also been associated with or worked for organizations in different industries such as telecommunications, pharmaceutical, life insurance, law, and multi-disciplinary engineering (e.g., nuclear, structural, electrical, mechanical, etc.). Throughout my career I have done business analysis in each of the positions I held, even when I had a title other than "Business Analyst".
I am a Business Analyst whose experience includes designing user interfaces as well as the usual business analysis tasks. I enjoy helping organizations solve business problems and designing software that provides a competitive advantage.
