How would you describe your overall health and what interested you in Kale U.?

I have been diagnosed with end-stage cirrhosis liver disease for the past 10 years, and wait-listed for a liver transplant for nearly 9 years. Interestingly, I am quite healthy for such a diagnosis; and am continuing to explore new ways to bring Balance, Health and Fitness into my lifestyle (things that were missing during many hospitalizations up until about 2 1/2 years ago. The "dis ease" appears to have come from contaminated, untested, unscreened donor blood I received in blood transfusions in the mid-70s, as my body's immune system worked to eliminate unwanted foreign agents invading my body's liver (including damaging the liver tissue). Anyway, that is what the doctors prefer to believe and "practice". Just prior to diagnosis, I trekked from Phaplu, Nepal to Mt. Everest Base Camp (elevation altitude of 17,500 ft). So, I suspect that I bought into the belief systems of the doctors, and validated the diagnosis with symptoms and hospitalizations.

What Reverend Dr. Steve Winn, DD, R. is saying about this Meetup Group

All KU meetups have been out of my transportation access (with no offers up to now from members to my requests for transportation assistance, such as carpools and rideshares). Thus, I really don't know much about Kale University, other than the Meetup calendar event notifications I am emailed by Meetup.com.
