What is it you would like to learn about coffee?

I'm interested in making good espresso at home without a huge budget, as well as coffee tasting and regional characteristics. I am also curious about home roasting and interested in learning more about the roasting process.

What do you enjoy about coffee?

Everything! From the smell of a freshly brewed cup, to the first sip, to the way it lingers on your tongue afterwards, I just love coffee. The caffeine kick afterwards is nice as well. I especially love the intense flavors of espresso and the mouthfeel of a ristretto.

What is one of the most important things you have learned about coffee?

Freshness and technique both matter. I'm a little bummed that I can't find good espresso at most coffee shops and that most people behind the counter don't know how what espresso is supposed to look or taste like.
