We gather big data to understand customer behavior. In order to consume big data we require that it be presented and interactive in a usable and useful interface. Hmmm....understanding human behavior, making data useful and usable: sounds like sounds like human factors to me.
I am a user interface aka human factors consultant. Currently, I define and measure customer interaction with smart phone, tablet, workstation browser applications as well as client side graphical user interfaces.
