Downtown gaming weekly meetup

We will begin with lighter games that are quick or easily joined. Then we can break out onto some of the tables in smaller groups if numbers and space allows. Come teach us your favorite game or learn one of ours! We should have plenty of players for a few different games and enough time to try a variety.

Outside food is welcome and the location has free popcorn and bar snacks, nuts and other items, for purchase. This is a nonsmoking establishment.

It was good to see everybody. Shadows Over Camelot was awesome, thanks to Patrick for teaching us.

Super fun, but we should have known he was the traitor much early.

I should of accused someone my turn and it would of been all over. Never the bad guy in that game before. It was super close though!

Hey all, looking forward to seeing some of you again, and meeting others. Bringing a few games with me, including the one I'd love to get going, Opera! Brand new, and highly suggested to me by friends. Haven't played it myself, but will look over rules prior.

Car is done! Going to pick it up before board gaming tonight, so I'll be a bit later than usual. Please play without me. :-)

I've got a decent sized collection. Any requests? http://boardgamegeek.com/collection/user/rampantdragon

I'll be showing up a bit early if anyone wants to sneak in a quick game before the crowd comes.

I'm going to bring Robinson Crusoe (though I don't know how to play it), Shadows Over Camelot (though I don't know how to play it either), Betrayal at House on the Hill, Castles of Burgundy (yet another game I've bought without knowing how to play), and Escape: The Curse of the Temple (which only lasts ten minutes).

      I can teach Shadows.

You may have trouble with Escape. All those frantic die rolls. I'm sure some we be lost down through a hole in the table.

If you don't, I can bring mine if you remind me.

There was some talk of learning to play Robinson Crusoe. This what I watch when I need help learning a game.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
