First Friday Art Crawl!

Last time went so well, we are doing it again! Lets discuss where to eat before hand on here, if you are interested in eating, and if there are any must stop spots. I will adjust the start time if need be for the food plans. We will be heading out to the art around 6-6:30. This will run late and go past just the art crawl if I have my way.

How late is everyone staying out? I had to go to a birthday and was going to head downtown but wanted to check first

We are in the food court. I am wearing a black and white flannel shirt, sunglasses and no hair.

I am looking for parking, it seems we will all be walking very far for dinner.

    Last minute remembers!

Cash is helpful to have. Not only will it help at the food trucks, there may also be need for it at the various galleries for tipping of bar tenders or suggested donations for drinks. Wear comfortable shoes and weather appropriate clothing! We walked a lot last time and will again this week. All of the walking will be on sidewalks and in galleries, but some of the sidewalks are in disrepair. Keep comfort as a priority.

If you intend to drink, do not drive till an appropriate time frame has passed or get a cab/DD. The majority of galleries will close by 9pm. Others and myself will not be going home yet. There will be time to sober as well as time to get more drinks for those willing.

Slight etiquette note that I am guilty of as well. Remember that this is art; and someone, possibly standing beside you, put their heart and soul into that "thing" you are looking at. Please keep your comments neutral or positive, till we leave the gallery, out of respect. :-)

I will update the exact location tomorrow, but since we can't find a restaurant that will take a reservation, we will be meeting at an area that has at least eight different food trucks for us to choose from. It will be quicker for us to eat that way anyway and then get our art on. Plus BYOB?

Yes, there is a wide variety of food selections for all pallets and restrictions. Or there was the last time I checked. Cash is highly recommended.

I figured it might be the case, no reservations for First Friday at Pizza Bella. Other places in mind that might?

How many people will make it to Pizza Bella between 5:30pm and 6?

So, Helen was suggested by a friend to try out the Manifesto, a speakeasy bar in the crossroads. Its a little pricy (we can probably get a drink and leave) and you have to make a reservation, but it would be fun to try out while we're out there. I don't know if they would have room for this Art Crawl (I can try) but it would be fun to maybe setup for next months. Anywho, long story short, who would/wouldn't be interested in this?

    Here is their website:

I'd like to go there some time. Not sure about during First Friday. They may be a bit busy during it.

    I'll be there by 5:30

We are deciding still. Between Grinders and Pizza Bella, I'd prefer Bella as I've not tried it before. We need to make a decision by tomorrow so I can make a reservation.

    How about Grinders?

    • Patrick B.

When I've been there on First Friday, they were ridiculously busy. That was some time ago. Have you been there for one recently?

Had one food suggestion so far, pizza Bella, right Sig?, in the middle of crossroads.

      Yep, that's the one.
