Tuesday Trivia at the Cashew

For those who don't know, its a Geeks Who Drink trivia event, with food, beer, and prizes to be won! Gift certificates go out to the winners (at least top 2 teams) and there are bonus questions throughout the event to win free appetizers.

Teams for GWD can have a maximum of six participants. I would recommend we get there a bit early (by 7:45) to split us all up into evenly sized teams.

After a couple week venture into other venues, what are everyone's opinions on where to trivia? We have a gift certificate to Cashew and an appetizer, so I'm inclined to go back there again for next week.

In the future, Cinder Block will begin Geeks Who Drink trivia events on Tuesdays on 6/24. I know we meet there Thursdays for board games, but it could be worth trying out in a couple weeks.

We should ask about quiz night specials tomorrow.

After last night, I understand what you mean about service at this place.

What is the format? How are teams formed or is it individual?

Hi, the trivia is though geeks who drink, so you can check out their website for any details. To sum it up, there are 8 rounds, with 8 questions a piece (some having multiple parts, such as an audio round where you get a point each for song and artist) with one of your rounds you can 'joker' to get double the points. All teams answer questions simultaneously. First and second place receive gift certificates, and there are bonus questions throughout the night that will get you a free appetizer. As for teams, the only restriction is that they be no more than 6 people. We usually try to get there early so that we can split up teams evenly without leaving anyone out.
