January Force.com Developer Group

I hope everyone had a chance to relax and enjoy some time away from the office over the holidays! Let's get the new year started with another Force.com Developer Group meetup. NetSmart has graciously offered their facilities for our meeting; we shouldn't be as cramped as we were at LePeep. We'll be giving away 3 licenses to Brain Engine, the new Visual Studio inspired Force.com IDE.

Thanks to everyone who voted on the poll. We had four main front runners: Batchable/Schedulable contexts, Bulkification, API, and Canvas. I'm going to put together a presentation on Batchable/Schedulable contexts and Bulkification because these are native force.com development topics. The API and Canvas deal with integrations using other languages and may be better suited to language or function-specific birds of a feather. If there is a strong interest in seeing .NET, Java, Ruby etc... integration or canvas samples - please let me know and we can try to organize a breakout for those who are interested.

As we discussed at our last session, this session is scheduled for late afternoon, running to end of workday. Beverages and snacks will be provided. If anyone else is interested in presenting, please let me know!

Thanks for all the prep work and presentation you did Ryan. It was good to see everyone also.

Thanks again to everyone who joined us at NetSmart! The sample code and the presentation decks are available within the KC Developer Group instance. Please message me if you still need those credentials.

    Thanks!

We will be giving out an OnLive gaming system tomorrow afternoon in addition to the Brain Engine Licenses. Hope to see you then!

Hey everyone! We will be meeting in either our Cafe or our Training Room - both have plenty of space and AV hookups for the main presentation or for breakouts. I will reserve a few smaller meeting rooms if we have more than two breakouts. Ryan posted a map to our building, which is right off College between Roe and Nall - hopefully convenient since it is right off 435. When you get to the building, just go to the main entrance and our Office Coordinator will let you in the door. From there, someone will show you where we are meeting. Hope to see everyone in a few weeks!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
