This is fun for the whole family. Unlike the B.O.B. campout, this is a bring-it-all event. We set up a full camp kitchen and want for very little! Bring the kids too! We will have skills classes- to be announced soon. Please keep in mind that Woodridge Park is a tent only- primitive camping. RV's are not allowed, but camping is free- no fees. We can't wait to see everyone around the camp fire!!!

Saturday evening we will have a potluck dinner. The organizers will provide a meat, and all we ask is that you please bring a side to share with the group.

Here are idea's for skils building classes some have people to teach others need people and open to more ideas

Dealing with water- Mark Rinke
Bob show & tell- everyone willing
Bow drill & primative Fire starting -Trekker
Blade sharpening-  James Miller
Spear tip hardening- Boone Vidricksen

My boys and I had a great time at the family camp out! Met some new people and reconnected with those I've met before. Had fun learning new skills!

I'd like to start a list of who is bringing what for the potluck dinner Saturday evening, so we don't have a bunch of the same stuff. To start, Mark and I will be bringing pulled pork for the main meat, as well as some hamburgers and red velvet cheesecake brownies for a desert. GO!

I encourage those that do not have gear to post stuff here that you may need. bring out what you have most likely we will be able to fill in the gaps we will have a full camp kitchen just bring your food unless you need to test your stuff

I would love to go; however, my ex thought that she needed my two tents and virtually all of my camping gear more that I did!

However, I still have an air mattress and a sleeping bag that she did not find.

I can also bring several bundles of firewood, courtesy of Winter Storm Q & Winter Storm Rocky.

If someone would like to carpool and share expenses, I have lots of room for their tent(s) and camping gear.

Would the Clinton Lake authorities have a problem with a senior-citizen heart patient sleeping in the camper shell of their pickup?

    Please advise.

    Thank you.

      Mark,

Thank you very much for your kind and gracious offer. I appreciate it very much.

However, since the event will be in mid-April, I think that I had better stay in the truck. It might be a tad warmer.

Again, many thanks for the kind offer of your extra tent. That was very kind of you.

I would like to learn the different ways to make a fire and how to make a shelter. I am an ex-nurse and would be happy to help out in teaching basic first aid with anyone else who has medical experience.

Do you think we could get away with camping in a popup in the parking lot?
