"The Adventures of Baron Münchhausen" with German Culture & Film

Join us for a sociable evening out in central Karlsruhe with interesting people and good conversation...

The Adventures of Baron Münchhausen (Germany 1943, Josef von Báky)

In 1943, as the German debacle at Stalingrad marked a turning point in WWII, the folks at home were served bread and circuses to distract their minds: Lavish costumes, opulent scenery, exotic locations, and a rollicking good yarn.

German Culture & Film is an open course designed for Karlsruhe’s cosmopolitan community, for people with any level of German, offering great films and insights into German culture, history, politics and art.

Films are generally in German with English subtitles - discussion in English

€ 10 includes refreshments; discounts for students, interns and au pairs

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
