Led by Meg Satya Jaya, Yamuna® Body Rolling (YBR®) is an intelligent, somatic modality that is all about creating and maintaining sustainability in one’s body. Based on principles similar to yoga and pilates, Yamuna Body Rolling helps students discover and address muscle imbalances and identify and strengthen weaknesses in all areas of the body. Students learn to work with their core strength to improve overall alignment, and will eventually be able to get underneath their habits and patterns to understand the actual and appropriate use of muscles and joints in everyday activities as well as in yoga and sports.
YBR classes and workshops can be geared to specific issues as well as to specific areas of the body. These three classes will introduce students to some of the ways YBR can help create space in around joints and balance, lengthen and tone muscles.
All fitness levels are welcome. The class is held mainly on the floor on a yoga mat but everything can be modified as needed.
