We are planning on doing this Meetup via a Google Hangout. If you have not participated in one of these before, please set it up before hand. The Hangout will permit web cam and desktop presentation sharing which will be particularly useful for the session.
I will be reviewing some of the following topics:
1. Understanding Gamut, HSL and Colorspace
2. Calibration of Devices - Camera, Monitor, Printer, etc.
3. Getting to Accurate Color in your Workflow
4. How to Maximize Color Constraints in your Edits
5. Building the Best Possible Digital Image for Print
A variety of software tools will be used from X-Rite and Adobe (Photoshop and Lightroom) for this session. Please bring your questions and join me for the lesson.
Here is the URL for this Google Hangout event.
Original Meetup Request:
"I would love/need to learn how to calibrate my PC for correct color. I also would like to hear where people send their pictures for printing. I'm not talking gallery quality printing, just for pictures for my personal use. If they're nice, you'd like them printed well. I've used MPIX and Wolf for printing and they didn't turn out any better than Walgreens. I'm thinking that I may need to calibrate my monitor because the pics look wonderful on the monitor but come out oversaturated when printed."
