Announcing a new Meetup for Katy Photography Meetup Group!

Come join us as we go chase flowers! We will be planning a trip to got
take pictures of Ladybird's legacy: Texas Wildflowers. If you have
never seen them, then you are in for a treat!

The weather man says the weather should be decent (see,%20tx&wuSelect=WEATHER), but keep an eye out just in case. Ritz Camera on 99 @ Highland Knolls has camera rain coats 2 for under $10.

Tentative schedule:

  • Meet at Jack in the Box (HW 36 @ HW 290, in Brenham). This is about 1 hour and 15 minutes from the Cinco Ranch Library (I-10 west to to HW-36 north to 290. You will see it) Meet for breakfast around 8:30 to talk. If you do not want to do breakfast, then meet us around 9:15-9:30.

  • Old Baylor College (Independence TX) 9:45-11:00

    • Very historical site. Lots of old building from farm house to school buildings
    • Bottom of hill is old Gas Station with an old Ford truck.
    • The pastures in this area have a large amount of Blue Bonnets

  • Antique Rose Emporium 11:15-12:30

    • This is a nursery so most of the plants are for sale.
    • Neatly planed like a park with a wedding chapel and old stone farmhouse.

  • Brenham 12:45-2:00

    • Blinn College Old Main
    • Downtown Brenham has some cool older buildings (1800's, some Art Deco, 20th Centry), antique shops, and a cool county court house
    • Lunch, somewhere

  • Washington on the Brazos 2:30-4:00

    • Independence Hall
    • State park marking the birthplace of the Republic of Texas. Lots of flowers around

  • Old Town of Chappell Hill 4:30 - ?

    • Old Western style town lots of craft shops
    • Historic Church in town
