Blue Dolphin Whale Watching / Na Pali Catamaran Tour TIME & COST REVISED!

Na Pali Sunset Dinner Cruise

I've learned that the lighting is better along the Na Pali in the afternoons, so we've chosen to go on the afternoon trip instead of the morning.  There is no snorkeling on this trip and it's 4 hours instead of 5 1/2 hours, so the cost has decreased, too ~   Now $83.47 per person.  New description is below.

4hrs | Check in at 1 PM

Take in breathtaking views as you cruise along the Na Pali Coast on one of our spacious 65' catamarans for this dinner tour. Enjoy sodas, juices, water and snacks as we explore the coastline while the crew keeps you entertained with local stories about the sights on the way. The afternoon lighting is unforgettable as it streams into the valleys of the Na Pali Coast and don't miss out on our "Titanic" photo opportunity. A delicious luau-style buffet dinner complete with beer, wine and Mai Tais is served as we sail back toward Port Allen. Your tour finishes with the beauty of the Kauai sun sinking into the ocean along with a champagne toast at sunset. Snorkeling is not offered on this tour.

CALL BLUE DOLPHIN DIRECTLY AT[masked] TO RESERVE YOUR SPOT.

MENTION 'MEETUP GROUP' FOR DISCOUNT RATE AND CORRECT TOUR. BRING SUNSCREEN, SUNGLASSES, CAMERA, HAT AND LIGHT COVER UP. BINOCULARS, TOO!

We've been on this tour several times and had a blast each trip. Na Pali is a 'must see'. Feel free to invite whomever you like. The more the merrier.

I had a blast. We were so very lucky to see 3 whales breaching very close to the boat. Truly and awesome and magical adventure. Will post photos tomorrow :)

What a wonderful welcoming group, Kathy picked a fabulous outing. I couldn't have asked for a better send off for my last day in Paradise. Sure don't want to leave... I know I'll be back to visit one day. If any of you are in the SF Bay area, please don't hesitate to 'ping' me! Cheers! - Bonnie

It's supposed to be a beautiful day Thursday. Just curious about what happens if it rains.

    December 11, 2013

    • Kathleen C.

Glad to hear the weather is going to be beautiful! I suspect they still go out in case of rain and only cancel if very bad weather strikes. Luckily for us, it sounds like we are in the clear :)

Is the rate dependent on having a minimum number in our group? I'm still up in the air on whether I can attend or not.

I think you'd better count me out. I might stay an extra day in Seattle, and do this boat ride next year instead. Have fun!

How about long does it take to get from Kapaa to Port Allen?
Is anyone from the Kapaa area interested in car pooling?

    December 4, 2013

    • Kathleen C.

I'd allow 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the Kapa'a crawl... Check in is at 1 PM, but it takes a few minutes to sign everyone in so you'll have a few minutes leeway. I'll have a big white floppy hat on,or with me, if you try to find the Meetup group. Can't believe it's right around the corner already. Yay!

The new rate of $83.47 is the Kama'aina rate since I wasn't confident we would have 10. Two others are signing up, but they aren't Meeteup members so the total so far is 8. Would love to have you join us. I should be able to garner an additional small discount if we achieve 10 attendees :)

I was lucky enough to go last year (hello to both Jim and kathleen)!. If anyone hasn't done this trip yet, you really should. The crew is great and the view is amazing. Dolphins guaranteed!! We had Sea Turtles by our boat and in the cove, plus you may luck out and see Whales. Just do it!

You will need to call Blue Dolphin to make your reservation. They will take your cc info to hold your spot, but won't charge the card until the day of the excursion. Their phone number is in the Meetup invitation details. Can't wait! It's going to be very special :)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
