There is an art walk on the First Saturday of every month in Kapaa town. It's fun to stroll the streets and see the art, listen to music, shop for interesting items and soak in the sights, sounds and smells. The shops are open late and it's fun to go even just to people watch as the night progresses.
I plan to go tonight for a short while and I don't mind strolling alone to shop for some art to jazz up my place. So, I'm posting this mainly for members who may not know about this fun event.
However, if there are some folks who'd like to meet up and grab a bite or a sip somewhere and chat, post your comments here and maybe we can form a small gathering.
One idea Maybe meet at Big Wave Dave's or somewhere roomy where we can chat, listen to music and celebrate the new year, before or after wandering the streets to soak in the art, clothing, music, food and fun.
I plan to shop for art at 5pm and then if there is a gathering at 6pm somewhere, I might join in. Suggested venues for a meeting place... Big Wave Daves, the Olympic Cafe, The Eastside, Kapaa Cafe or make a suggestion. Pretty sure there would be music at Big Wave Daves and some empty tables in the early evening. Everywhere gets packed as the night goes on.
* Just a note for folks who might be wondering why I haven't been posting many activities lately. I've been gone and now busy packing up to go to the mainland again for 3 months. I'm heading to Seattle next week to help my daughter care for her newborn baby! So, I'm depending on all you members to keep the group going by posting activities to share while I'm gone.
Hau'oli Makahiki Hou! Until we meet again, a hui hou!
Call, text, email or comment below, if anyone is interested in gathering at 6pm somewhere. [masked]
