Mahaulepu to Kipu Kai Lookout

Five mile round trip.  Usually windy, some rough terrain, and some kiawe to scratch you up a bit.  You may want to wear long pants.  Bring water, snacks, sun protection, and your camera.  Bring a swimsuit if you feel like jumping in the bay to cool off at the end of the hike. Meet in the Shipwreck Beach parking lot and we will drive to Mahaulepu from there.  The photo in the upper left corner is the view into Kipu Kai. More info call Manfred 639-6371.

A beautiful sunny day for the hike. Thanks Chris, T., Ralph, and Beverly-what a trooper! To those who thought it would rain…you missed it. I will offer this hike again soon if there is interest.

Sorry to miss this hike but I'm back in the land of ice and snow; yesterday I was reminded how much extra work is required for winter hiking vs hiking in "paradise."

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
