Bike Ride on the Kapaa Bike Path

Ride the 4.5 mile path bike path along the coast and check out the beautiful beaches on the East Side, including Baby Beach, Kealia Beach and Donkey Beach. A few inclines, but basically an easy ride on a paved trail. You can bring your own bike, but easy and inexpensive to rent a cruiser at the little bike shop located behind the Ono Shave Ice. Great taco truck on the return ride for lunch.

Bring: Water, sunscreen and money for bike rental and lunch

Always a great ride, but even more fun to cruise the bike path with new friends. I'm posting some pics soon.

Hi Sally - and anyone else who is interested: Hele On Bike Rentals is in the same parking lot as Ono Ono Shave Ice, Coco Pink Consignments, etc. They rent 2 bikes for $10 per hour - no mention of only one bike - but I'm sure they have some rate - I'm guessing $5 per hour? They open at 10am on Sat. http://www.kauaibeachbikerentals.com/

    And here's their Yelp Page:

To ride without stopping to the end of the path north and back would take about an hour, but add in stopping for photos, eating and just enjoying, I would guess 2-3 hours. Just depends on how leisurely we want to be. I have my own bike, so am not on a time clock, but for those who will rent, we can easily budget our time to get you back without incurring extra charges.
