Bike ride from Keahua Forestry Arboretum, and a possible short hike.

Julie at the end of the hike, our lunch spot, by the "waterfall" sounds of the stream.

Seeing Julie at the beginning of one of the most beautiful hikes on the island makes me wish there was more daylight this time of year. Blue Hole is only 4 or 5 hours from here with some nice pools and waterfalls along the way.

While having lunch there, a few visiting hikers came down the trail after attempting to hike to the Blue Hole, but they said the trail was too overgrown to get through. That hike has been on my "to do" list for years, but recent reports from folks attempting that hike after the big rains of last March indicate that it's more difficult now than it used to be. I'd love to try it sometime with optimum conditions.
