Paddle to midnite pass for sunset

Launch at 6:45 PM at turtle beach boat launch- Please arrive by 6:30

We will paddle around JIM NEVILLE PRESERVE then to Midnite pass - then watch the sunset.

Bring your swimsuit if you want to play in the waves and a beach chair or blanket.

Bring something to share for snacks!

Bring your camera!

Have a light for your boat (glow sticks work great!), a pfd and whistle, and you may need bug spray.

BE AWARE- It will be dark when we head back/paddle-BRING A GOOD LIGHT!
This is for INTERMEDIATE SKILL paddlers due to the darkness.

If it rains usually it will subside by launch time.

FULL MOON IS ON THE 19th so we MAY have some moonshine for paddling

Who knows we might have bioluminescence!!

Perfect timing Anne, leaving the beach before dark and providing us with the spectacular lighting bolts for viewing most of the way back.
It still thrills me to think about how close the manatee swam near us, popped up, and turned to looked at us. Finally swam with a manatee!! Thanks, Anne!!

What a wonderful paddle!!! Excellent weather, lightning light show, spectacular sunset, fun nice people. There was even a green flash and a manatee swimming in the surf. Much thanks to you, Anne, for a great memory.

Another great one Anne. Relaxing paddle with a wonderful group, swimming in the gulf at sunset, Champagne, lightening display, and the Green Flash! How do you top that? Oh yes- boat got rinsed off for me in the rain on the way home! Thanks Anne

Well, I'm pretty stoked for this eve. After 12 years of yakking in my 10' Old Town Loon that I bought at a yard sale for $250, I finally decided to upgrade. I'm bringing my brand spankin new, shiny red Hurricane Skimmer 128. This will be her maiden voyage. Yee hah! Thanks, Anne, for organizing this!!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
