Sunday morning bike ride,Deer Prairie Creek

Meet up by the dam-pond area, good parking and out house facility. We ride on dirt and pavement so a fat tire or cross over bike is required. This for energetic riders. The ride will go up to the Venice Diocese , over I-75 and continuing into Charlton Preserve where we will do the Blue Trail and stop for a snack. We can ride on up to Sleeping Turtles Preserve for a walk, group vote, and then return for lunch at the Pond. Plan on getting your feet wet as we ride across a shallow dam at the beginning. I'm guessing this to be about 17 miles total. Please be ready to saddle-up at 9. The parking area is about a mile in from Rte. 41. Take the dirt road to the end.

 limit is 15.

Carla, Take I-75 South to River Road to Rte. 41 South. Take 41 South for approx. 1/2 mile. Deer Prairie Creek on left on the northbound side of Rte. 41

The entrance is easy to miss so when you turn on 41. Go left / east on 41 for 1.0 mile. Go past the KOA sign on the right Go to the NEXT U turn / left turn, which is 1.0 mile from River Rd. Now you are head back west/North on 41 a very short distance. You are looking for a little road with white/tan stone on it on the right. Well off the highway, down a slope, is a sign for Deer Prairie Creek Preserve South. Go through the gate and follow the narrow sand road all the way to the end, probably one mile.
