The OC Kayak Fishing Group

A big thanks to Jim for starting this group and for everyone that has taken a part in promoting and continuing the organization.  I'm going to apply myself to this task as much as my time permits in order to promote kayak fishing in the OC area as well as the rest of Southern California.  I'll tell you a bit about myself.

I am 60 years old, a dentist with a panoply of interests.  Amongst these is kayak fishing.  I have been involved in the sport for approximately five years and it has been a thoroughly enjoyable, challenging and humbling activity.  I have fished for pretty much my entire adult life.  My guides to fishing have been my late father and my brother Al.  Al and I have fished both inshore and in the bays of Southern California for the past four years and we believe we have amassed a great deal of knowledge that we wish to share.  By passing this information on to other kayak fishermen, we expect to shorten your learning curve as well as make your kayak fishing safer and more enjoyable.

I hope to make the focus of this group, enjoyable learning for all.
