Fall bird migration should be in full swing and Wing's Island, behind the museum is a prime birding spot. No dogs are allowed on the island's trails. It's a good walk and, hopefully, there will be good birding.....so expect a fair amount of standing and looking up. There are a couple of lovely ocean views along the way and we'll go down to the water at one point.
Tick season should be waning, but I'll still be wearing Insect Shield clothing and using repellent. We will be brushing up against weeds on the trails.
BRING YOUR BINOCULARS, if you have them. Guests are welcome on walks (not on paddles). We'll be leaving the parking lot at 8:30.
