We are a group of Outdoor loving, Water seeking kayakers. Kayakers meeting other kayakers for camaraderie, fun, and stewardship on our waterways, Northeast Florida (Duval, Clay, Nassau, and St. Johns Counties) is our backyard and FULL OF OPPORTUNITIES FOR KAYAKING IN NORTHEAST FLORIDA. We are an Open Member Group, You the members of the group pick and choose what trips Kayaking in Northeast Florida meets up for and networking to share information about trips around Florida and the U.S. and the World. I am seeking trip organizers and leaders. This is a newer group and will be a fun group that welcomes Paddlers of all experience levels. Many of the other groups plan long trips, trips for experienced paddlers, classes for all levels of paddler and you are encouraged to use all those resources to find the right trip for you to gain more experience. this group will be the place for all those other trips that you have thought of or searched for but have not seen offered, just suggest it and lets see if we can get at least 3 interested members and it shall be done! If you have any ideas for A meet up just post it i the suggestion section on the main meet up page for Kayaking in Northeast Florida and when three people agree on it, it will post on the the page.
What being an open group means: if 3 people agree to "suggest-a-meet-up" then the meet-up will automatically happen and can be edited by the attendees.

KAYAKING IN NORTHEAST FLORIDA is a non-professional meet-up group that only provides a way for you to connect with others who enjoy kayaking and associated activities. Think of as a group of new and old friends KAYAKING IN NORTHEAST FLORIDA getting together for fun and mostly our brand of fun is called kayaking. KAYAKING IN NORTHEAST FLORIDA is not a professional adventure organization or outfitter operation.
Kayaking can be physically and mentally demanding. Kayaking can involve significant risks and hazards, such as collision with power boats, hypothermia, joint or trauma injuries and even drowning. Injury, both personal and property, may occur while traveling to or from KAYAKING IN NORTHEAST FLORIDA Activity. All participants in a KAYAKING IN NORTHEAST FLORIDA activity - you, family members and guests - by participation in a KAYAKING IN NORTHEAST FLORIDA activity, acknowledge awareness of the risks, foreseen and unforeseen, which are inherent in each meet-up's activities and cannot be eliminated without destroying the unique character of the activity. These inherent risks include, but are not limited to, the dangers of serious personal injury, property damage, and death from participation in or travel to and from the activity.
This meet-up group and its organizers does not, in any way, claim to be professionals or otherwise licensed, certified, trained, etc. to provide any service. Any certifications or training by members, organizer, assistants-organizers, members or leaders are solely independent from the group, whether expressed or not; and cannot be held liable through posting events via Meetup. KAYAKING IN NORTHEAST FLORIDA activity organizers are not trained in extensive emergency medical procedures. Since most activities occur on the water, by participating in a KAYAKING IN NORTHEAST FLORIDA activity you are acknowledging that you are aware and understand that in the event of a serious medical emergency, treatment may be multiple hours, up to days, away.
Kayaking, and other posted events KAYAKING IN NORTHEAST FLORIDA are inherently dangerous and accidents may happen. By participating in any posted event, you're taking responsibility for your own safety and well-being. By RSVP'ing, signing up for an event, joining KAYAKING IN NORTHEAST FLORIDA as a member you are agreeing that you are waiving any and all legal or civil rights for responsibility to the Organizer and any other members within the group. KAYAKING IN NORTHEAST FLORIDA and it's organizers, assistant organizers, trip leaders, and other members, are not trained leaders and we do not confirm the qualifications of any of its members to lead or participate in trips. All participants take full responsibility for their own actions. If you choose to sign up for any KAYAKING IN NORTHEAST FLORIDA events, you are releasing KAYAKING IN NORTHEAST FLORIDA it's organizers and members from all liability in case of possible injuries. Your personal safety depends on your own judgment and experience.
All Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Regulations as well as USCG Regulations must be followed by anyone participating in a paddle trip with KAYAKING IN NORTHEAST FLORIDA;
When attending trips please arrive early enough before the posted departure time so you can unload your boat and be ready to go. If the trip is posted for 9am, that means we leave the launch at that time.
Be aware that all participants are responsible for there own safety, if you feel a trip is being conducted in a unsafe manner or above your skill level you may leave the activity.
WE ARE NOT OUTFITTERS just an independent Kayaking group. There are several kayak rental companies around the area if you do not have a kayak at the present time and you may can find a fellow member willing to share an extra kayak with you for a trip on the discussion board. PLEASE IT IS ONE OF OUR GOALS TO PADDLE LOCAL AND SPEND OUR MONEY LOCAL AS WELL. Support the local small businesses, take the safety classes, buy local, and paddle often.
At a minimum for our trips everyone must have a USCG-approved life jacket for each person and a sound-producing device on board while on the water!
