The Keller ISD Early Childhood PTA (KECPTA) has been around since 1983. We are a part the Texas PTA as well as the National PTA. We just happen to be designed for parents of young children from infancy to kindergarten. We share the same mission as the National PTA: to be a powerful voice for all children, to be a relevant resource for families and communities, and to be a strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child.
Our goal is to address the needs of families with young children through informative speakers, social activities for the parents and children and the friendly support of other parents. Our moms pride themselves on offering all kinds of activities to meet your needs and your children’s needs.
For example, we offer:
· Area Activities
· Park Days/Picnics
· Children’s Holiday Parties
· Meals for New Moms
· Moms Night Out
· Craft/Scrapbooking/Game Nights
Of course, we tie it all together at our monthly meetings where moms can take advantage of our onsite nursery so as to fully participate. Here, moms enjoy staying informed on KECPTA issues and events and learning more about parenting in general through wonderful speakers who present on such topics as the benefits of preschool, kindergarten readiness, nutrition, what’s new in the Keller ISD, and even couponing and cardmaking!
We do ask that members pay yearly dues of $27. This covers our group's PTA accreditation, parties, supplies, meeting venue rentals, etc. Visitors are always welcome at our monthly meetings, so come and join us and see what we have to offer you and your family!
Please be aware that you are not a full member of Keller Early Childhood PTA simply by joining our Meetup group. Guests are welcome to join the site and come to our events for one month before deciding to join. After one month, you'll need to submit your membership form and dues. If you choose not to become a member we will need to remove you from our Meetup site. New members are welcome to join at any time during the year, but membership renewal will occur annually in August. Please let us know if you have any questions.
