Welcome to the Kennesaw Area Business Networking Group (KABN), where the sole purpose for getting together is to grow our businesses and make money through networking.
As the organizer, my personal goal is to make KABN the most effective, valuable, entertaining networking experience in Atlanta.

Re: The Nature of KABN
We are an "open networking group" which means that there may...or may not...be others at lunch who do what you do. BUT we figure that NO ONE does what you do the way you do it, so come on down and make the most of a great networking opportunity.
Re: The Purpose of KABN
We are all business owners or work for business owners. We are all about growing our businesses and making money. AND we believe in building personal and business relationships out of which can come business transactions and referrals.
We acknowledge the accuracy of the saying, "All other things being equal, people do businesswith people they know, like, trust and remember." Our group provides a creative and entertaining vehicle for becoming known, liked, trusted and remembered.
We acknowledge that the goal of becoming known, liked, trusted and remembered cannot be accomplished at luncheon - especially on that occurs only twice a month. So, we encourage our members to pick out someone at lunch and arrange to meet them for coffee or drinks before the next luncheon. We believe that's really where the good stuff will begin to happen.
We acknowledge that there is a good chance that none of us will immediately generate a business transaction in this group. To you this means that, if your goal is to walk in, eat lunch, make a good impression and walk out with a sale...well, it probably won't happen here...or anywhere else, either.
Re: The Format of KABN Luncheons
While we always attempt to have some content that is unexpected, we always include...
1. A 30 second introduction where you can stand and share with the group who you are, your business affiliation and the kind of referral and/or strategic partner you're looking for.
2. A 10 minute "Member Spotlight" where we interview a member about their business so that we can learn how we can help them build their business. A member qualifies for this segment when they are considered “a regular.”
Re: When & Where KABN Meets
We meet twice a month at Carrabba's Italian Restaurant on Barrett Parkway in Kennesaw. The Managing Partner prepares a great lunch that is different for every meeting. If you have a unique meal need, send me an email and he'll prep for you.
Doors open at noon and lunch is served at 12:30 pm. We are complete by 2 pm.
Re: The Cost to Participate in KABN
We collect $13 at the door from attendees who have RSVPed and $15 from attendees who did not RSVP.
Re: Communication with KABN Members
I communicate with members through email. I understand that many people don't read emails anymore. However, members who read my emails know stuff that members who don't read don't know.
Re: The Importance of the RSVP
An accurate headcount for lunch is vital. And the only way I can provide that is through an accurate RSVP list. Our restaurant is NOT OPEN to the public for lunch. We're the only people in the room so, too little or too much food is not a problem that is easily solved.
Re: RSVP Deadline
The RSVP deadline will be 9:00 am the day BEFORE the luncheon.
Re: Cancellation After Deadline
A cancellation after the deadline will be treated as a NO SHOW since the headcount will already have been given to the restaurant.
Re: No Shows
If a member has RSVPed YES but does not show up for the luncheon, he/she can pay the $15 for the missed luncheon or no longer be eligible to attend future luncheons.
So...join us at our next KABN luncheon, bring lots of business cards and be prepared to share yourself with our group so that you can begin the process of getting known, liked, trusted and remembered.
