Kuroshio Sake Tasting with Certified Sake Master Thursday, July 23rd

Our friend, Koji, Certified Sake Master, will be at Kuroshio again on Wednesday, July 23rd from 7:00pm to 8:30pm for a Sake Tasting Event. From knowing Koji for over a year now, he is a great guy, very knowledgeable, entertaining and will answer all your questions and you'll be able to try a variety of premium rice wines.

Koji and his family have the unique experience of being in the rice wine industry for generations, and he will be sharing his stories and selection of premium sakes with us at Kuroshio. Participants will have the opportunity to sample the premium sakes presented in the Sake Tasting as well as learning about the process of fermenting sake, and much more. There is a cover fee of $5 for this event, which includes UNLIMITED premium sake samplings (while quantities last).

I plan to be at the restaurant around 6:15 to reserve a table for the number of RSVP's in the group. If you are planning to come, feel free to update the RSVP list. Lets plan for meeting at the restaurant around 6:30pm so we can settle in and order food to be prepared while we're doing the sake tasting! The last Sake Tasting at Kuroshio was a huge success, everybody enjoyed the food, sake and meeting new people in Kennesaw.

If you can't make it at 6:30 or miss our group meetup, that's okay too. The sake tasting will be running from 7:00 til 8:30pm and is a great restaurant that I'm sure you'll love if you haven't tried out yet. They also plan this Sake Tasting event monthly, so if you can't make it to this one, there will be another one in August!

Most of us stayed and chatted until the restaurant was preparing to close for the night. Everyone seemed to love the sakes they tried and the half off pitchers of Sweetwater 420 were enjoyed by all.

There were 5 participants at our tasting session. Koji conducted other tasting sessions with more participants. Koji was very informative, answered all questions presented by all 5 of us, showed pictures of his residence in Japan, pictures of the Sake making process, rice fields, etc. I look forward to attending another tasting event in August if there are no conflicts with my schedule. Kuroshio dinner was as good (A+) as usual.
