One of the most esteemed stars of the opera world,SIR THOMAS ALLEN celebrates his debut at The Royal Opera House,Covent Garden and over 30 years since his debut at The New York Metropolitan Opera.

Sir Thomas Allen has recently been appointed Music Adviser to Scottish Opera.

In 1989,he was made Commander of the Order of The British Empire,and he was knighted in 1999.Both  awards were for his services to opera.

He will join Robert Carsen's award winning production of Poulenc's sublime opera DIALOGUE DES CARMELITES set during the violent upheaval of The French Revolution as Marquis De La Force at The Royal Opera House with The Orchestra of The Royal Opera House being conducted by Simon Rattle in May and June.Sir Thomas Allen continues his 2014  Royal Opera season with ARIADNE AUF NAXOS in Christof Loy's production of Strauss' dazzling opera in June and July.
