Welcome!

Our book club is 6 years old, has about 12 members (in the 45+ age bracket) and is very open to new members joining. We meet once a month in the founders home in Kensington/Silver Spring on a Sunday at 5:00 PM. The meeting is a combination of a pot luck dinner and a very lively and thought provoking book analysis/discussion, followed by socializing (dessert and coffee) afterward. Our agenda is to stay focused on the book and additional info about the author for at least the first hour, and we tend to read a mix of contemporary and classic "good literature" rather than lighter/popular "best sellers".

Ouside the book club we also do a lot together and there is an emailed calendar of those events: theater, live music, antiqueing/flea marketing, weekend trips, wine-tasting, "good" movies, eating out, crafting, etc., and we encourage you to join us in those activities as well. Some of us are artists and writers and would love to meet more of the same.
